This place is legit! It needs/deserves more stars. I am a sushi person being from California and was skeptical coming here from some of the reviews but everything was great, service and food! We had the tuna nachos to start which were delicious and then the cowgirl, thunder and state fair roll which were all AMAZING. The state fair was so fresh and the thunder was a perfect kick, I won't even give anywhere else a chance this is my sushi place of OKC being a new resident.

I'm a little surprised by the reviews. I think in the raw has some of the freshest sushi around town, but it is a little pricey. Then again I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for with sushi. They also have excellent fried rice, although I've never tried anything other than it and their sushi. I've probably had every roll on the menu and each is very fresh, and made quickly. The rolls are average sized (8-10 pieces) with a large variety of selection. They have a nice drink selection, and the service is always fast and friendly. If you would like to try it for a more reasonable price, I suggest going for their lunch specials. The rolls are the exact same, but they always have 4 or 5 that are discounted for lunch, as well as bento boxes, and great deals on their fried rice ($6 for a serving size you could probably eat 2-3 times)

Awesome chicken tacos and sushi. Let's not forget the location view and drinks. Best place to chill with excellent food and service

I really enjoy this place, especially when I'm wanting something a little more different than the standard rolls that can be found anywhere else. I definitely love the Thunder roll. Another plus for me is that they have Hana- Awaka sparkling sake, which I love! Think a Japanese take on pink champagne. Service is absolutely wonderful. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey; my meal (Thunder roll, sparkling sake, and tip) was nearly $40.

I had the tuna tower. Avocado, crab, tuna poke, and masago. Very good but there was more rice than needed in the tower. I learned that masago are fish eggs from smelt fish and so did the bartender. Great happy hour 5-7.

I love this place, but that hasn't always been the case. If it has been more than a few months since you tried it last, it's time to go back. After being taken over by new owners, pretty much the only thing that is the same is the name and the sign. New chefs, sushi chefs and bartenders. New managers, new waitstaff. A new way of training staff to interact with customers. Oh, and a serious deep clean, where they basically took the place apart to clean it properly before starting over. Good deal. But above all, better fish. They fly in fresh fish every day, and they make some wonderful food with it. I can get authentic, simple, just-the-fish-please sushi almost anywhere in town. But guess what? I can here, too. They will make you absolutely anything you want. They have the fish, they have the skills. If you just have to have a simple spicy tuna roll or rock n' roll or rainbow roll, they can do it. And I'd be willing to bet you'd love it. I have an idea I'd like to try sometime, a blind taste test with a rainbow roll from ITR and a rainbow roll from any of the city's most vaunted, beloved, Jiro-Dreams-Of-Sushi joints in town. I may just have to do that sometime soon. And, it kind of makes me crazy when people who eat sushi all over town complain about the Americanization of this sushi. Guess what, if you eat cream cheese and crunchies and any kind of beef in your sushi, you're eating Americanized sushi. And I know you eat that at Neko and Samurai and Saii, but I never (or very rarely) hear them being called out for being too Americanized. It's just weird, that has become the *one* thing that people say about this *one* sushi place. I'm just saying, if you're eating sushi in Oklahoma, unless you're eating straight up sashimi with no soy sauce, you're eating Americanized sushi. (End Rant) But I don't opt for the standard fare I can get at (insert 4.5 star OKC sushi house here). I'm at a creative place, so I order creative rolls. I love the Candy and the Keaton rolls, and I love their veggie tempura. Ah, America! I just love you so. I also love the location (steps from Harkins). We like to do a matinee and then dinner here - because doesn't that sound so much better than trying to watch a movie after dinner and drinks? This is also perhaps my favorite affordable, easy-going Bricktown happy hour watering hole. With deep discounts during happy hour, a full bar, talented bartenders and some seriously great people watching, it's the most convenient place to meet my Downtown friends after work, and one of the most affordable anywhere in the Downtown/Bricktown zone. I also recently hosted an event here, in their private room. I've perhaps never had a more friendly, comfortable experience with a business owner, who was helping me with a complicated event on a tight timeline, near the holidays. The room is pretty much the perfect size for any group that is big enough to warrant their own room (but not big enough to rent out an entire restaurant). The owners, management and staff absolutely bent over backwards to make my event a big success, and I'm hosting another (personal) event here in April, because they made it so easy for me. When I started writing this review, I was writing it as a four. But while I was writing it, I decided that there's nothing I would want to change about it - except people's misperceptions of it - so I'm upgrading to a five. That's my barometer for when to go from a four to a five: when there's nothing I would suggest they can do better. So, boom, five. There it is.

Yep, I've definitely experienced better sushi in Oklahoma City. Nothing was absolutely terrible, I suppose. But, nothing was truly great either. To be quite honest, I feel like the sushi at ItRS would be a hit amongst the average, middle-America (Nebraskan corn farmer) crowd. They serve sushi for the sushi novice. For the true sushi connoisseurs, this is just a place to eat at if you happen to find yourself in Bricktown. The crowd was nice and the atmosphere was chill. Also, the prices weren't sky high, as is the case with most restaurants in Bricktown. I liked that ItRS had a couple of local beers available and the service was quite good. However, this place just doesn't stack up favorably against other sushi places in the city.

I have been here a few times now and have enjoyed it each time. Granted, I probably won't come to Bricktown just for ITR, but if I'm already downtown and craving sushi, I will. I don't think it's necessarily better or worse than other sushi I've had but I definitely think it's on par with most of the other sushi bars in the city. It was a nice surprise that they were serving Prairie Artisan Ales as I'm not exactly a fan of Sapporo. I can and will drink an Okie beer with sushi! On a side note, I like the artwork here. It's very interesting and catches your attention right away. Not sure if it's permanent or a rotating exhibit, but that would be really cool to see more styles of art they like here if so. I also enjoy sitting at the sushi bar and getting to see the chefs prepare my sushi. It made me want to try to make it on my own even more because they make it look easy!

We went to In The Raw OKC for dinner on Saturday night. I love sushi. My Husband, though, is not a fan. In The Raw worked well because they had ample selection for non-sushi eaters. The decor and ambiance were very nice, the service was good, the wine list got the job done, and the food was good. I had the restless ribbon roll and the sc slug roll. I am not crazy about spicy things and don't care for fried food, so that limits my options at a lot of sushi restaurants. That being said, there was plenty on the menu at In The Raw for me, and I appreciated that a lot. What I really didn't appreciate much was the prices. I found them to be very high. I don't mind paying for good food, so I don't have a general aversion to high menu prices, but I didn't think the food was that good or that unique to justify the price. I typically order the rainbow roll when I go eat sushi. Yes, I know that's fairly boring and predictable, but it's my favorite so I get it every time - even though it is usually one of the more expensive items on the menu. That being said, I thought $23 was pretty steep so I didn't order it this time. Just to be clear, not everything on the menu is super expensive, but the sushi was, relative to the places I typically eat sushi. We may be back to eat here again because it was a nice dining experience and the location is great, particularly if you're having a night out in Bricktown, but we probably won't be back that often.

  • David W.

Sushi was tasty and traditional but fish portions were a bit skimpy and the spicy tuna and spicy salmon just don't stack up to Sushi Neko plus it was a bit more pricey. Will definitely opt for Neko or Sushi Tokyo for my raw fish fix.

How did Bricktown get so lucky to have this sushi place? We arrived here before a movie just steps away at Harkins Theatre and grabbed a couple of rolls (and a dessert roll) and they were all phenomenal. I checked in on Yelp and saw they had a check-in offer for a "pure awesomeness" roll that came with a free banana tempura dessert. It wasn't the roll I had chosen, but why not adventure out and try new things? I was so blown away by this roll, it was definitely better than what I'm sure I would've ordered. It's always great to be spontaneous! But then the banana tempura roll came with hot, fried banana covered in icy cold vanilla ice cream and I swear I spent a minute in heaven as I consumed every bit of it. The service was fantastic, our server was hilarious and made for a great dining experience!

Best wait staff here at ITR!! Lunch specials for you downtown locals but don't expect to be back to work in an hour. Stopped by last night for some Sapporo and Sake after the baseball game and I was not disappointed. Miso, cody roll, well any roll really and a nice sunset! Love!

Had a great experience this time at In The Raw. Here for a bachelorette party dinner, our server was stellar and did not mind split checks. The sushi was just as we expected-- fresh and delicious. We also got the free banana tempura dessert for checking in and it was surprisingly good! We had a great time at our table on the patio overlooking the riverwalk!

I am glad we did reservations because it seemed really busy with people going to the movie. You can use your keep it local card for free edamame! The rolls are great and the hummingbird drink is really yummy!

Delicious sushi. Crab Rangoon on point. A little overpriced but that's bricktown for you.

I have eaten here 3 times, 2 with GF. Nice and quiet atmosphere. The Lobster Bomb, Thunder Roll, and the Oh My a Goodness rolls were a treat.

We had a fun, delish dinner here. Drinks were great and the sushi was top notch. A fun night with fun friends in a great atmosphere.

The Tuna Poke, delicious! I also had the Spicy Cowgirl roll, its was good, but I would probably try a different roll next time. But i'll get the Tuna Poke every time!

Go see Ashley, the sushi chef, she definitely knows what good sushi should taste like! Went here with family who only come in when Ashley is there, she is phenomenal and makes the best plates to share (or hide from your guests under a table and eat it all by yourself!) If you get a seat at the sushi table you'll have a better view - just look up at the mirrored ceiling to watch the sushi chefs make your meal. I loved the location and there's parking for all on the street.

  • Emily W.

We were seated immediately for our reservation for a party of 6. The waitress was brand new - first day - but was very professional and prompt. Our orders came out perfectly and we received a free order of edamame (Keep it Local offer) and a slice of cake for the birthday we were celebrating. I would definitely recommend this as a good place to go with a group if you have a reservation.

This is one of my favorite sushi places in OKC, if not my favorite. It can get on the pricey side, but that's to be expected for good sushi. I love the location and decor of this place and the sushi is delicious. While my boyfriend is a fan of 100 percent raw everything in his sushi, I like to add a bit of texture whether it be tempura, deep fried rolls, etc. We ordered and shared a spicy tuna roll, a restless ribbon roll, a baby gecko roll and a Thunder roll. The Thunder roll had fried shrimp and a sweet sauce on top and it was amazing! This location is also great

We were raised on sushi in SoCal and we're new to OKC. In the Raw has some of the best sushi we've found so far in Oklahoma City! The food is fresh and we liked the local spin on menu items. Some reviewers here have complained about the style of the food, but for us that's part of the charm -- being authentically Oklahoma and offering a great sushi product in that spirit. Sushi purists can do just fine at In the Raw by simply telling the wait staff exactly what they want. In the Raw were willing to make things however we asked. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Prices were absolutely reasonable. A great find for us.

Some incredible sushi. Went with a large group of around 20. Our server kept drinks coming and was quite impressive. We were given our own private room with a projector on the wall with sports on. Great combo.

  • Kayley W.

We attended a staff Christmas party here and really had a great time in the private dining area. I really enjoyed the Thunder roll, however my husband chose the chicken teriyaki bowl and it was not satisfying. It tasted like something you would buy in the frozen foods department of a grocery store. Next time he will choose something different.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Bricktown. Love the sushi, Ashley is the best sushi chef around always fresh. Danny in the bar makes the best drinks, you won't be disappointed. We try to make it here at least twice a month for a mommy and daddy date night.

  • Joshua M.

Ahi Tuna nachos are incredible. Had a great evening. The service was fantastic. Everything came to the table quickly and accurately. When I noticed something strange on my wine glass, the server handled it extremely well.

  • M R.

Went with a friend for lunch. We had the edamame, seaweed salad, sushimi (white tuna), nigiri salmon, baby gecko roll and chicken wrap. All EXCELLENT! Well served with a follow up visit from Anna, the owner. My favorite sushi place right now.

  • Lindsey P.

The sushi is just OK. And for just OK sushi their prices are ridiculous. My husband and I tried the high rollers special one night, and that is so NOT worth the price. And as previous reviews have stated, the rolls are really over-sauced, with just OK sauce. I really was not a fan of the waitstaff either. We ate here twice and both times they were not personable and kind of pushy. If you're in Bricktown and don't feel like driving a couple miles to a decent sushi restaurant, then go ahead and eat here. Otherwise, I would suggest going for a drive.

  • Matt R.

Food was as good as ever, my wife and I frequent this establishment and have never been disappointed.

  • David C.

The sushi is ok at best. But you're paying basically premium prices for run of the mill sushi. Nothing ruins a sushi experience more when you're overpaying for heavily sauced sushi. The atmosphere is ok, but it's nothing special. I'd recommend saving your money on better sushi.

    (2)
  • Brandi P.

Ok guys!! It is time to give this place another chance!!! It has recently been take over by new ownership, and I promise you that everything about the food has changed. The new owners are flying in fresh seafood daily from all over the country and are dedicated to turning this place around. I must say that they've already accomplished their mission. If you are going to a basketball game or movie in brick town, please stop by and give them a run for their money. They have daily specials on food and beer, especially during thunder/OU games. If going to a thunder game, stop and have a beer. They will stamp your parking ticket and guess what? You don't have to pay for parking at a thunder game?!?!?! Unheard of haha.

I have eaten here on several occasions. Mostly if because I have purchased a groupon and it makes it a good deal. I have always had mostly good experiences. For the most part this time was no exception. When I sat down I asked if they were still honoring and old promotion that they have had in the past. The waitress told me that they were under new management and that she would check. The manager came by and told us no problem..... The sushi was good sushi. Nothing to write home about but it is good not great. If it were not for the groupons I wouldn't be eating sushi at this place, but at my normal spot which had exceptional sushi (especially for Oklahoma City). After all was said and done and I was about to get my receipt I was informed that I was not able to use the previous promotion with the groupon. I was a little surprised since it had not been an issue in previous visits. I just sighed and took it. I was a little bit peeved at the situation but wasn't really in the mood to argue over 5 bucks. I would say if you are in the area and need some sushi it will do. If you are will to drive another 6 miles or so I could show you a much better spot. As well if you just want to eat and you are down town there are several restaurants with better food. If you are getting a special or value here and not extremely picky about your sushi than it is okay.

Business traveler in town and searched for sushi restaurants. I was a little nervous after looking over the menu because it seemed a bit gimmicky but a hotel staffer recommended it. It was fine. If you kinda like sushi you will love it. I was disappointed as probably 70% of the menu has something fried or cooked in it. If not it is covered in sauce. I appreciate inventive sushi prepared with fresh, raw ingredients. This is not the place for that. They told me I had to get the Thunder roll....if I closed my eyes while eating it you could have told me it was a fried shrimp sandwich.....I ate the whole thing but just because I paid for it. I also ordered the $23 rainbow roll.....it contained cooked shrimp and seared tuna and was merely average.....but once again, cooked food.....hey, you are landlocked in Oklahoma so you get what you deserve. If you truly like sushi I would keep looking.

  • Ken B.

In a normal city, I would've given this 3 stars. You don't expect edible sushi in OKC, so i added a star. That being said. The rolls were oversauced. Like, way oversauced. The sashimi was tasty, but they really skimped on portion size. It must cost a lot of money to fly fresh fish here. But I'll go back. AFAIK, this is the only sushi in town that won't get you sick.

    (4)
  • Alma S.

Delicious, took my husband down memory lane and enjoyed his sushi very much! They offered battered chicken strips and curly fries for our toddler for only $5 wow and it was plenty!!! I enjoyed their chicken fried rice with extra vegetables! Plus we had great service! We will definitely be going back again soon!!!!

  • Tara L.

I ordered some sushi to go and it was on par. I ordered the spicy tuna and the sooner roll. Fish was fresh in both rolls and they were constructed properly. I will admit it was difficult to find something on the sushi roll menu that didn't have cream cheese or tempura shrimp/crab/asparagus in but then I reminded myself I was in OKC and sushi is probably something new here so they're making it more accessible to the general public. My only gripe is their edamame....it has some weird seasoning on it. Not sure what it is but it's like seasoning salt instead of just normal ole sea salt. I would honestly probably give this joint a 3 star review if it were in another city but for OKC I'm giving it a 4 star review. Yes it was a little pricey but I figure they probably do pay more for their fish than other areas of the country because they are flying it further.

  • Sarah H.

This is a sushi place for ppl who don't eat sushi- very trendy, and Americanized. Nothing authentic about it. The rolls where too large and way over sauced. Not to mention EXTREMELY over priced. Not a place I will be revisiting.

  • Anny C.

Not sure why there are any bad reviews on this place! I always have great sushi and service here! Love their sashimi 9 and their Tuna Tower! My friend who likes more cooked rolls loves their state fair roll! The service is always great here! Very attentive, very friendly! Definitely our favorite restaurant in town!

I went last night for dinner with another person. The restaurant was about 1/3 full and the only available seating was at the bar. The other tables were held for reservations. When I order hot tea at a sushi/Japanese restaurant, I expect to be brought a tea pot with green tea. Well here, that's not what you get. The server brought me a cup of hot water and a box of tea bags to choose from. There was nothing japanese or anything resembling it in the box. We should of left then and called it a night... The server was polite and friendly. That was the highlight of the meal. The menu selection was sparse. I wanted Chicken Teriyaki but it wasn't on the menu. The server stated that the restaurant had just been franchised out and the menu had been changed quite a bit. They would be unable to make a teriyaki bowl for me. So we went with sushi and gyoza. The gyoza were good but nothing amazing. The sushi was tasteless and the rolls kept falling apart. The rice wasn't sticky and didn't taste like anything. One of the rolls had asparagus in it. The asparagus was overcooked and mushy. Yuck. After all was said and done, we finished up dinner $40 later and still hungry. We left and had a hot dog at a street vendor which was 200% better than our $40 snack.

Place was ok. I just have not found the right place for Sushi in OKC. Place was clean and friendly. Nothing to write home about.

  • Becky K.

Okay.... I have eaten sushi just about everywhere we have traveled, so I have had some really delish sushi. This place is okay definitely not the best, kind of bland, so they just covered it in spicy mayo..... We went on a Friday night and didn't have a problem getting a table. The service wasn't the best, our waiter went missing for like 30 minutes. We had to ask another waiter if he could get our ticket. Our waiter brought our ticket and said he had gotten busy..... Really? I understand busy nights but if you're a waiter you should be able to multitask.

  • Kathryn B.

I have yet to find an amazing sushi place in OKC. I went into this place with a lot of positive energy, and it was alright... but nothing to write home about. The prices were a little steep on all of the rolls, and the fact that they don't have a happy hour on weekends is kind of a rough deal. For the OKC area, it is probably the best sushi I've had, but compared to other places I've been to in Missouri it doesn't rate too high on my list.

Super friendly service. Had the Thunder roll, awesome. Chicken fried rice done just right. Vegetables with the Chicken teriyaki were cooked to perfection. Definitely a great lunch visit

Sushi was not that great. Sushi rice in their rolls was not well seasoned. Price was high for the quality and portions

    (1)
  • Joshua M.

Not the best, but it's not bad at all! Dunwell, Candy, and Spicy Cowgirl are really nice. Price is a little steep (5 rolls @$80), but it's a fun place to eat with friends. Some of the staff could be a little more friendly, but overall not a bad experience.

I've had in the raw in Tulsa and thought it was okay so, decided to try this place when it opened. The sushi quality here is not very good, but I heard the Norman location was better.

  • Sarah P.

This is our go-to place for sushi in OKC. They're under new management so take old reviews with a grain of salt. If you like tuna, you must try the ahi tuna nachos. I could make a meal out of them alone. And if you're not totally stuffed after your meal, try the tempura banana. I could never finish it myself but my husband and I like to share it once in a while. The only reason for not giving them five stars is I'd like to see some new rolls added to the menu. Once when they weren't very busy the sushi chef asked what we liked and just made some rolls up right there on the spot. We wish that we could get those rolls again when we go back, but we have no idea what they were. haha

Jan 19, 2008 "In the Raw Sushi" is an upscale meeting place for biz execs... Lil pricey but worth it.. The sushi is always fresh, which is a must for me..

It has all the right ideas, but none of the execution. My rule of thumb (that I shouldn't have made an exception for in this case) is this: NEVER eat raw fish in a state without a coastline (let alone a city outside an hour from the ocean). This said: I broke my rule, and I lived to tell about it. I can now tell my grandchildren I didn't get salmonella from the sushi in oklahoma. Another raw faux pas: Don't serve tacos at a sushi restaurant. or burgers. Or Caesar salad. Or cheesecake. But mostly: NO tacos. Do one thing, and do it right. (the only thing they did right was hire hot sushi rollers. They were the only good looking guys in all of oklahoma)

  • Erin R.

I've eaten here on more than one occasion in the last few years while on business and staying at a hotel nearby. Unfortunately I won't be back. The flavor and quality of the sushi has continued to decline over time, and today it bottomed out. Mediocre sushi is bad enough without having to pay through the nose for it. This place is over priced and under delivers. :(

    (2)
  • Kristy O.

In the Raw is one of the first trendy sushi resturants I have enjoyed. Of course with any trendy sushi resturant the price will usually reflect the atmosphere rather than the sushi it self. Was the sushi over priced? Yes a little, but its normal for that type of sushi resturant. They have a good selection of fish, and they are always getting specials in. They had Amber Jack while I was there, which is one of my favorite kinds of sashimi to eat. They also have fried shrimp heads ( a favorite of my fathers, I can't do it though). I enojoyed my evening there, even though the prices are similar I did not feel robbed when paying the tab like I did when I visited Sushi Neko. Good Sushi at a trendy place? Yes you can have it at ITR!

This place falls short in a lot of areas. Lets start at the top. The decor is dreadful. It reminded me of Charlie Sheen's apartment in the movie Wall Street after Daryl Hannah re-decorates. The mirrors on the ceiling are priceless and my favorite is the half wall at the entrance that really serves no purpose and is horrendously ugly. In regards to the staff, they all need a swift kick in the pants. Although my waiter was very attentive and did an ok job, everyone just seemed very unprofessional and lost. One thing that really bothered me was that the whole staff seemed to loiter endlessly in the sushi bar area and talk about how they didn't want to work. When an order would come in, they would grown and try to avoid doing it by passing it onto the next guy or handing it off to someone else. It was very unprofessional and there really didn't seem to be any kind of manager or supervisor in charge of the floor either. It was like a dorm room in the sushi area. In regards to the sushi, it was below average. The overall construction, presentation, and quality of the ingredients used was just poor. The chefs really showed no passion or care when making orders either. After a couple hours of observation, I noticed that some of them do not even look like they have been properly trained. Knife techniques and basic skills seemed to be lacking. For example, my Mackeral nigiri was just a round piece of rice with a piece of fish slapped on top. When I tried to pick it up, the whole thing just collapsed onto my plate. All the sushi that I ordered was way below average and my entire visit was very dissapointing. Overall, this place needs a lot of changing and if they want to keep customers coming back, they need to get their staff in gear, hire a decorator, and get some passionate sushi chefs.

Not sure why people hate on this restaurant so much. The sushi isn't bad, especially for okc. Worth a try.

  • Sarah H.

The sushi is good... but the waiter was horrible. I think he was sneaking shot behind the bar... he told us (my boyfriend and I) his life story, and every physical and personal characteristic of every ex girlfriend he ever had (he was like 20 yrs old, you wouldn't have thought that many). It was kinda nutty. He was at the next table over flirting it up with the 5 or 6 girls out for a birthday. I don't know something about the entire thing was a little off... The In The Raw in Norman is much better... I probably won't be going back to this place...

  • Carson C.

Nice people, but the Sushi is sub-par. The rolls are pretty small, the spicy rolls are not spicy at all, and if you plan going on a weekend, good luck finding parking anywhere close. Sushi Neko is excellent and every sushi lover in town knows this, but if you want to try a new sushi place try Hayashi Sushi on South 104th and Western. That place is awesome!

This is by far the worst sushi I've ever had. It tasted like fish flavored paper. It is sad to see a place with such a great location and feel completely fail at executing a good roll. Overall spent about forty bucks and had to order food later to my hotel room because I was so dissatisfied with the quantity and quality.

this sushi is very average 'in the raw' in tulsa. i didn't like that one, but was willing to give it a second chance when i was visiting okc this weekend. atmosphere is good at both places, they just aren't very good a making sushi. and they overcharge for the quality of sushi they provide. i'm not a sushi snob. for instance i love sushi zushi in dallas, and some sushi snobs wouldn't even give that place a chance. and it's not an okc thing, because neko is great. they had two really good items. the tuna sashimi was good. the little beef skewers with avacodo that resembled yakatori, and those were REALLY good. It's their sushi that is very average and they have a pretty limited selection. for me....... and i tried not to make it an issue, but when you don't see ANY asian people making sushi (or even working there), you might have a problem. in fact, before i went to 'in the raw' in tulsa i had never seen a white person make sushi at a restaurant. think about it. it was pretty packed, and that made me feel sorry for the poor folks that think they are eating good sushi. however, i think you could make a good night of it here if you keep it real simple. 1. the skewers 2. the chinchin salad (not exactly sure about the spelling, but you'll see it) 3. kieren light 4. maybe pick a roll or one or two pieces of sushi. you do that, and you can get out of here for 50 or 60 bucks for two people.... and enjoy the location. where as i spent $180 with tip and now resent the place :)

The other reviews on Yelp scared me, but I'm glad I went anyway. I don't know why everyone here is so negative.... I think it fully deserves 4 stars, like it has on every big review site besides this one. Maybe it's just the difference between a weekday lunch (my experience) and a weekend night (that of several reviewers). We went at lunch, so parking and wait time weren't issues for us, and with the lunch specials, the price was very reasonable for any restaurant, but exceptional for a sushi restaurant. They have a very wide variety of sushi as well as many options for the people in our party who are not sushi-lovers. It's not completely traditional sushi, but it's also not way out there, like another popular sushi restaurant in this area. We ordered six rolls to share, and I liked all of them. The restless ribbon roll was my particular favorite. Our server was attentive and we received our food within an acceptable amount of time. I did find the music a trifle loud, but that's really my only complaint. This is probably my second favorite sushi place in the city, based on this experience, and it is definitely the best one reasonably close to my place of employment.

This place is the worst sushi I have ever had and the service was horrible. A group of 6 of us walked in and the first thing we see is 6 employees standing in the center of the sushi bar (not making sushi) but drinking out of their soda cups and chit chatting. The manager should have known better because everyone could see them and it didn't look very professional. The next problem is they tried to seat us right next to the front door, when there were plenty of tables on the outskirts of the dining area near the windows and when asked if we could sit somewhere else, the host rolled his eyes at me and said "well, I'll see..." and proceeded to bitch at a busboy and have him move some tables around for us. The sushi took entirely too long to order, the drinks took a while to get there and the food left a bad taste in my mouth. The only reason this place gets one star is because the two drinks I had (lemon drop and skinny rita) were delish. Everything else sucked.

I had better sushi for the price I paid here. Yes... you get a good amount (somewhat), but the food is average especially for Oklahoma City. My friends and I were in town for a wedding and decided to starve ourselves at the reception, so we could enjoy our dinner at ITR. The place is supposedly a hit in Tulsa and we gave ITR a try in OKC. I was very disappointed. The spicy mayo wasn't even spicy, and it didn't have that special Asian/Japanese kick to it. =D Nice decor and all but the food is mediocre. Service could have been better. We waited at the bar to be seated, but were told it could be awhile(40 minutes) even though they had a table for four available right beside us. It was reserved, but the party was arriving later? Makes no sense, but whatever. Parking and traffic in bricktown on a Saturday night is horrible! Valet parking is always full just like the free parking. You may find a parking spot about a mile or two away, so enjoy your walk before and after you dine at ITR.

My boyfriend and I eat sushi often. I've had bad sushi, but never have I wanted to spit it out of my mouth. The Tuna was a grey color. GREY. It's suppose to be a deep red Marroon color. It was so gross. The house salad tastes fine but the greens were shredded lettuce like a taco would have. Overall the only thing that was normal for a sushi restaurant was the miso.

This place is located in Bricktown near the stadium. The OK sushi (nothing remarkable) plus the tourist-like prices made the place a three star restaurant, but my service was so excellent, that I gave it an extra star. Although they understand how to combine flavors to make original sushi rolls, there didn't seem to be any effort in making the rolls more flavorful other than adding heaps of sauce and jalapeños. My server, however, was very attentive. (the heated sake bombs for the 32 degree weather didn't hurt either). He made my experience very enjoyable without being overbearing or pushy. He also recommended the best food without trying to merely raise his tip percentages. I will surely ask for him in the future. I almost forgot to mention the music. They play a nice combination of contemporary pop and dubstep. Not the "bang your head on the wall" dubstep, but the "bounce in your seat to the beat" dubstep. No headaches for me!

I ordered their miso soup and spicy cowgirl roll and was a fan of both though I wish we got more rolls on a plate. I do like how they put mushrooms in their miso! Yum.

My sushi spot in OKC! By far the best fish in town.. They order from Hawaii, Seattle, Florida , New York.. Whoever has the best catches that day is what the sushi chef told me.. What really makes this place great is that you don't have to be a sushi fan to love their food.. They have other stuff besides sushi , but most of their rolls are actually more Americanized and are very easy for even the sushi haters to love! But if you do like sashimi and nigiri they have really high quality fish! Just know what you are looking for.. If you are looking for a traditional sushi restaurant , this isn't for you, but you can order great quality traditional sashimi and rolls.. It just isn't what most of their menu is about.. They are more about creative, nouveau sushi The service here really sets this restaurant apart.. Always very friendly and really willing to do whatever it takes to please.. I have come with some difficult friends and they always go out of their way to handle special requests! Atmosphere is loud, but that's what bricktown is about! Fun music, trendy decor.. Perfect for a night out.. They also easily accommodate very large groups .. We came in with a group of 16 without a reservation and they accomadated us easily!

A nice change of pace! We ate outside and had 6 different rolls, edamame and a salad. Everything was fresh. We're all leaving very happy! We'll be back!
